Harmony® e-pulse

What is Harmony® e-pulse?

Harmony® e-pulse is the new electronic pump for the Harmony® System. The pump creates the required negative pressure (vacuum) between the prosthetic socket and the liner. The elevated vacuum system provides superior suspension of the prosthesis and thereby improves the proprioception of the amputee and reduces the forces applied to the residual limb. Additionally the elevated vacuum system controls volume loss of the residual limb. The Harmony® e-pulse can be used with any body weight, limb length or activity level. Thus the Harmony® System can now provide the full range of vacuum suspension benefits to a broader range of amputees.

  • Reduced daily volume differences
  • Improved suspension
  • Improved proprioception
  • Reduced forces on the
    residual limb

Small & Light

  • Length: ~82 mm
  • Width: ~65 mm
  • Height: ~26 mm
  • Weight: <120g

Mounting

The Harmony® e-pulse is delivered with a strap plate attached to the back of the device. Simply take a Velcro strap, pull it through and then attach the unit to the socket, the cosmesis or the pylon.

Features & Benefits

Two Buttons

That is all the Harmony® e-pulse needs to be controlled – Plus & Minus

This makes it extremely easy and convenient to use.
The two buttons have a different shape for easy recognition – Feel the Difference!

Finger Rails

The two rails on top of the device not only make the pump look smarter. Their function is to lead the user's fingers directly towards the control buttons. It allows the user to operate the Harmony e-pulse blindly when covered with clothing.

Light & Sound

The Harmony® e-pulse communicates with the user via LED lights and sound signals. Four LEDs between the Finger Rails tell the user (for example) about the current vacuum level or the charging process. Some functions are also accompanied by sounds to allow for blind use. If the sound is not required you can simply turn it off.

Four Levels of Vacuum

The Harmony® e-pulse can be adjusted by the amputee to four different vacuum levels according to the needs and wishes. The highest level produces approximately 18 inHg (600mbar).
