Scott
"Life’s too short to sit on the couch and watch it go by."
Living life to the fullest is something Scott truly does. Waking at 5:00 a.m. each day, his schedule is demanding. With a wife and three children, his work with Otto Bock Health Care as a Product Support Specialist, and some time spent having fun, Scott gives his residual limb a real workout.
Twenty-three years ago, a young Scott became a transfemoral amputee in a battle with cancer. Scott not only triumphed over cancer, but as a young man he triumphed in swimming, rock-climbing, golf, and even became an Eagle Scout.
As an adult, he has continued his active lifestyle – he enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing, and rock-climbing. Scott claims his socket system allows him to be on his feet much longer than his old prosthetic system. On hunting trips, he can walk over difficult terrain, and keep his prosthesis on for long periods of time without any problems.
Scott wears the TEC® Custom Urethane liner, the TEC Double Wall Socket, the Otto Bock 3R80 knee and Otto Bock Health Care’s revolutionary Harmony® Socket Management System.
